Reus is the capital city of the Tarragona province in Catalonia, Spain and is known predominantly as a place to go to do rock climbing, the production of wine and being the birth place of Gaudi. The name is said to have origins in either the Latin word for prisoner or the Celtic word reddis which can mean crossroad. Reus was the second largest city in the Catalonia region until the 1900’s when other cities in the region had an influx of immigrants that did not settle in Reus.
